Chicago Magazine Logo[1016]'s largest project to date, Wrightwood Crossing in Lincoln Park, Chicago, was featured in the "Deal Estate" section of the March 2010 Chicago Magazine.

The author highlights the developer's flexibility in dealing with neighborhood groups and other area stakeholders. G.Corp Development has a very high reputation for managing the development process in Chicago's most sensitive neighborhoods.

Chicago Association of Realtors®, is the latest indication of [1016]'s continued effort to provide its clients architectural services backed by real estate market knowledge.

December 2009

[1016] Principal Andrew Wilson, AIA, LEED AP completed the Affordable [Housing] Green Academy (AGA) course provided by the
Center for Building Knowledge at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

The course provides specific and practical building science training for design and construction professionals dedicated to sustainable and energy efficient homes. 

[1016] Architecture already incorporates the "whole building as a system" approach advised by the AGA, and looks forward to implementing the procedures and details on future projects.

The [1016] designed project, Wrightwood Crossing, started construction in September, and was recently featured "In Brief" on Crain's Chicago Business website.  This project is LEED registered with a certification goal of Platinum.

The Esther's Island, Nantucket Cottage,  appears as the October 2009 cover story of Coastal Living magazine.  [1016] Principal Andrew C. Wilson AIA, LEED AP worked on this home as Project Architect while at Hart Howerton (HH).   Click image at right for full article text (.pdf file).

[1016] Principal Andrew C. Wilson, AIA, LEED AP is now a "Registered Energy Professional" (REP) for the City of Chicago.  Drawing certification by an REP is required for building projects to be permitted in the City, and this capacity is now part of [1016] Architecture's services.

] teamed up with Young Professionals Against Poverty via a contributing sponsorship to On the River 2009, a beach-themed event to benefit the Center for the Homeless in South Bend, Indiana.

It was a great event for a great cause.  Look for On the River 2010 and considering attending or contributing.

[1016] presented a lecture titled "A Path to Licensure and Owning Your Own Firm" for the University of Notre Dame's School of Architecture Professional Practice course.  The lecture included analysis of current market conditions and advice for recent graduates on how to succeed in the workplace.

Wrightwood Crossing project website goes live.  Check out this g.corp development project, as designed by [1016] Architecture.  The project is LEED registered with the certification goal of Platinum from USGBC.

[1016]'s latest multi-family project is pursuing LEED for Homes (LEED-H) Platinum rating.

This will be one of the first LEED Platinum projects in Illinois, and one of the first LEED-H Platinum projects in the state.  The project will take advantage of expedited permitting through Chicago's
Green Building
Review process.
